🌳 National Education Nature Park
National Education Nature Park, led by Natural History Museum in partnership with other organisations, aims to help schools build meaningful connection to nature, understand the threats to the natural world and ensure that everyone feels able to act.
Goals and outcomes include biodiversity gain for the education estate land, development of green and digital skills, increase of pro-environmental behaviours, improved pupil wellbeing. NENP is to be run in a way where:
Students lead the work in mapping data across the site
Students creatively and collaboratively plan actions and decide on what to improve, and start on them immediately after mapping
Students practise numeracy, digital and working scientifically skills
The NENP work is embedded sustainably in the curriculum and the learning programme
