Will solar-powered schools shape our future?

Is the picture above showing what our schools could look like in the future? An urban institution with walls covered by solar panels that have the ability to generate at least half of the energy requirement for 1,200 pupils?

If you think this IS the future, you might be wrong!

This is actually the present! The school in the picture shows the Copenhagen International School in Denmark with one of the largest solar energy systems in the world!

"Is this the kind of presence only available for private schools in progressive Scandinavia", you might think.

Woohoo, you are wrong again and we are so happy about it!

National Grid has just launched a £2.7 million venture to provide grants for schools seeking to install solar panels to cut carbon emissions and energy bills available to schools in South Wales, the South West and the Midlands!

Working with Solar for Schools, National Grind are partnering to make clean energy accessible to all schools.
