The Blue Peter Earthshot competition is the perfect way for kids to get creative and help save the planet. Teachers, parents, and familiesāget involved and inspire your little ones to make a big impact!
This is a great opportunity for the development of creative writing and problem solving skills, empowering children to care for the environment and take action! The Earthshot Prize looks for solutions to the worldās biggest environmental challenges:
Fix our Climate: What is an imaginative way to reduce pollution and greenhouse gases?
Protect and Restore Nature: How might we protect wildlife on land and care for natural habitats?
Clean our air: What could help clean our air? Maybe greener transport, or cleaner energy?
Revive our Oceans: How could we help to revive our oceans and rivers, reduce waste, or protect biodiversity?
Build a Waste-free World: Think about how we could reduce waste, reuse, recycle, repurpose, or think differently about food waste.
Entries involve writing down your idea in 200 words or less; describing what it looks like, how it can be used and what benefit it could bring to the planet. The idea should be accompanied by a drawing or poster to really bring it to life!
The Blue Peter Earthshot Competition will close at 5pm on Monday 28th October 2024.
